 Suggestions for Site Ratings System

I have a few suggestions involving the Network Site Ratings system:
1. Another Category of stars, Ease of Us, should come and replace Site Design, which could focus on how the site looks. Although, this may take away from work on the actual site and battles.
2. Site Rankings should be done more often.
3. New Sites should be able to be on the Top 5 as soon as they are ranked, not one week after. The wait is just too long! Example: I completed my site the 5th, but it won't be able to compete for the top 5 until the 17th! If the wait was short it would be good for the other sites, (more competition, more work done) and the new person's site, so they can see where they are, and possibly get more hits from it, which can lead to more feedback, more competition, which = more work = better site.

Anyway, I hope you think about these.

Load time might be another useful category of stars.

I think the existing site design category satisfies this pretty well. The main focus of site design is to show how easily the site can be navigated, how easy it is to read the actual battles, and the overall look and feel. I think adding an 'ease of use' category would make the Network rankings more confusing.

- 2. Site Rankings should be done more often.

The expected update rate for a Network site with 5 stars in the updates category is one battle per week. Therefore, I check for updates once per week. Since the site design and battle quality rankings don't tend to change day by day, there really isn't much of a point to updating the rankings more than once per week. By updating weekly, each re-ranking means that most sites will either gain or lose one star.

This is really a non-issue. I site joining the Network always begins with one star in the updates category. With the Network becoming more and more competitive, there is no way that any site will even qualify for the top 5 in its first week. Instead, the site's button is displayed underneath the top 5 for the first week.

Thank you for your suggestions. I hope my explanations helped you see why I'm running the Network the way I am.

3. Except... I've already updated my site three times, although 1 update was only a Blue Version, I still think that when you're a new version webmaster you're eager to get more updates out, especially with the current competition. I just don't like that rule...

Well, maybe add some catergory which aqua's not so good at (can't think of any)

Cool, that means I *SHOULD* have 5 update stars
With the other 6, that'll mean I have 11...

I'm still saying it would be better if the option were there... But I guess I see where you're coming from...
