Posted On 04/13/00 06:25PM

until easter vacation the updates will be at minimum necassary to increase my update/maintain it. then at easter vacation I'm gonna start updating full force, possibly even faster than Orange did, then that rate will slow down until the next time school is out.

Go to the Illumina Version for great battles about cheese! um, I mean uh pokebattles!

Well.. hmm.. You just wait until The Black Version Can compete... All I need to do, really, is keep up my updates, and currently, I've been doing about four a week (1 Brown Version Battle, 1 Blue, and 3 Black) Also, expect a tournament on Sunday as well.

Hey, spring break's coming for me too, updates are going to pick up for Aqua as well, which added 7 new battles today. I don't expect you'll be overtaking me anytime soon.

If I were you, I would update before Spring Break, in order to keep your ratings up.

I really don't think you can update as fast as I was..

It took me a mad brainstorming to do those- and they were being written days before they were being posted.. I can't do that anymore - and I bet you can't either..

~Summer break! Bring me your almighty.. uh.. Fun!~

I do all of my battles at least 2 days ahead, so I try to stay on top of my updates... I should've have given myself more time for the upcoming tournament though, I just finished it today..(will be posted tomorrow)

You know, just because you update a lot doesn't mean you have the best site. If you don't update so much but instead write good quality battles, then not only will visitors be able to keep up with your update pace, but your battles will be better. You notice red version only updates once a week.

I've already realized this - thats the reason I stopped updating so much.. You should have seen how fast the first season of orange version went by!

I have a very good quality to quantity rate, each of those battles took anywhere from 30 min. to an hour, Once I wrote an 8 page fanfiction without stopping if a write a huge pokebattle like that and split it up into many battles

I usually take about 30 minutes too (per battle), and edit once or twice, for content-not grammer. 3 a week plus a Brown Battle and Blue isn't much, really, though, if my idea's slow down my updates may too.

Yeah, I take 30 min to an hour getting my battles done too, although my first battles - (In the "Sugar Rush Orange 2000" as Eric calls it) - were all written in nearly 5 minutes each. Not looked over for grammar or content, and then posted.
That's why I posted so much.
They were better than my other battles, although those were possibly the worst battles ever written..
I did write a fanbattle, about the original cast of characters.. (Mew Lord & Big Bully - heh heh) ..though I never sent it in, I created Orange Version instead.+

 Hmm......

Awesome battles don't HAVE to take a long time. Austin Powers Strikes Back, Darkluke's REALLY Misreble fate, Pokémon Master Disaster, and One Heck of a Crazy Battle on Blue Version took me about 15 miniutes tops, and almost all of them won me an award, One Heck of a Crazy Battle winning two. Also, Tortement Confusion and Koopa Krazy on Aqua Version took me only about 20 minitutes (Koopa Krazy took a little longer because it's hard to think up of a good motto). I often just get battle ideas all of a sudden, and then I type them out and post'm. In fact, if I typed out ALL the great ideas I'e gotten so far, I would've written at least 12 battles already!

- The Popcorn Man

Darthluke: HALLALUYAH! He didn't say it this time!
The Popcorn Man (author): Oh, I wouldn't forget, Darthluke...GET YA HOT BUTTERED POPCORN RIGHT HERE!!!
Darthluke: ARRGH! I just HAD to jynx it!

They don't Have to be, but it's just better if they are. Sometimes. (especially with little experience) Also, it's harder to do better battles in a small amount of time when you have a version (mostly because you're thinking of making yours as great as they possibly can).

Red Version battles normally take me about 45 minutes to write, but that can stretch into an hour if I have trouble coming up with a good idea.
